What fuels can I use?

Our Tri-Heat Fusion Technology lets you cook using:

  • Gas

  • Charcoal

  • Wood

  • Electricity (except Al Wadi model, it uses a proprietary gas system for the same result)
You can also combine these for faster, flavourful, and more controlled cooking

6

How fast does it heat up?

  • Preheats to 200°C in 5 minutes

  • Reaches 400°C in 12 minutes using gas

  • Gas can also ignite charcoal or wood simultaneously

7

Is it safe to use around family and children?

  • Yes. Safety is built in:

  • Cool-touch exterior thanks to full insulation

  • Auto gas cutoff via thermocouple

  • Safety circuit prevents ignition unless the bottom vent is fully open

8

Can I monitor cooking remotely?

  • Yes. Our Smart Inkbird Controller allows:

  • Remote control via Bluetooth or WiFi

  • Monitoring of oven and internal meat temperatures

  • Notifications when your food is ready

9

 Is it easy to clean?

  • Very:

  • Self-cleaning mode at 350°C burns off grease

  • Ash removal tools clear ash in 10 seconds

10

How efficient is it with fuel?

  • Extremely efficient:

  • Just 3/4 pieces of wood can cook 80kg of shuwa

  • Charcoal can be reused up to 4 times

  • Close all vents after cooking to smother the fire and reuse charcoal

  • Insulation allows cooking low and slow (or smoking) for 24+ hours with half a bag of charcoal

11

What’s the electrical consumption like?

  • Very low. The electric element is used to maintain heat, not blast it.

  • 10 amps at 230v maximum draw but it cycles on and off due to the insulation

  • Perfect for keeping food warm at 65°C

  • Gentle, consistent heat with minimal energy draw

  • In the Al Wadi, electricity is replaced with a unique gas-based heating system

12

Is it portable?

  • Take it to your farm, camping trip, or outdoor gathering—and it’s easy to bring along if you move homes.

13

Will the paint fade in the sun?

  • No. All models are coated with a high-quality, UV-resistant finish that won’t fade for many years—even in the intense Gulf sun.

14

What’s the long-term cost of ownership?

  • Top Tanoor helps you save:

  • Less wood and charcoal needed

  • Reusable fuel

  • Lower energy use

  • Durable design means no need to replace it anytime soon

15

What are the cooking times for traditional meals?

  • General Cooking Guidelines

  • Cooking time is affected by initial meat temperature, quantity, and starting temperature.

  • Always ensure the meat is fully thawed and not frozen.

  • You may hold the tanoor temperature at a minimum of 150°C for 30 minutes at the start to quickly bring the meat’s internal temperature to 95°C and above.

  • Once the meat reaches the target cooking temperature, cook at the lowest possible temperature to maintain tenderness.

  • Use hardwood natural charcoal only—experiment with different brands to find the flavor you prefer.

  • Smokier charcoal produces a richer flavor.

  • Ensure that all wood is fully burned down to red-hot charcoal before adding food to preserve authentic flavor.
